MANOR APPOINTS DTZ TO MARKET MAJOR OFFICE REFURBISHMENT IN HULL
Manor Property Group has appointed the Leeds office of a global real estate services firm to market its five storey 140,000 sq ft Manor Point development in Hull, comprising an extensive refurbishment of a former cooperative department store which is subject to an ERDF application which is now in its final stage - full business plan approval.
Manor Director Robert Lane commented: "DTZ is a global real estate adviser with a strong regional presence. Their expertise will ensure that all potential inward investors to the region will be able to consider the huge potential of this development. A new occupier of Manor Point Hull would bring both job opportunities to the city and act as a catalyst for the development of adjacent sites."
The ERDF application will see the building undergo a conversion and refurbishment of part of the 5-storey building into Grade A commercial floor-space, which will bring it back into beneficial use. The refurbished section of the five storey building will provide retail or leisure space on the ground floor with office space above in excess of 140,000 sq. ft. The full development will accommodate up to 2,500 employees of which 1750 will be new jobs created in the region.
Adam Cockroft Director from DTZ's Leeds office agency team said, "We are delighted to have been appointed by Manor to market this property; we have a strong reputation for excellence in providing leading-edge property services and will be using our industry knowledge and expertise to market to national and regional operators looking for high quality office or commercial floor space."
