Mark Bailey - MIH
Development Director
Mark has in excess of 30 years' experience in the hotel industry. From a family background in hotels Mark sought a professional hotel management career; culminating in restructuring the family business. He then moved into an advisory capacity within the industry, working for respected firms of chartered surveyors, who sought his operational expertise, where he latterly concentrated on hotel development.
Mark now leads the development program for Manor.

Robert Lane - FRICS
Property Director
Robert is a chartered surveyor and founder of Lane Walker Chartered Surveyors of Sheffield. His expertise is in urban regeneration and the commercial lettings market. Robert brings extensive regeneration expertise helping to create public/private sector partnership cooperation. He produced the baseline study for pilot regeneration company Sheffield One which created the Sheffield City Centre Strategy.

Ruth Gilbert
Group Education Director
Ruth has 25 years of experience in professional services and education, holding positions including Principal and CEO in Further Education. Ruth previously set up and ran a national education charity, founded by Lord Baker, now supporting a network of 20+ industry-led Career Colleges across the UK. Ruth has a passion for applying business principles and regional partnerships to educational ventures, to ensure their long-term sustainability. Ruth is an Honorary Fellow of UCL Institute of Education and holds several voluntary positions in support of education.

Jan Ellis
Chief Executive, Qdos Education
Jan has worked in the career development sector for almost 40 years, both as a practitioner and a senior manager. In her early career she worked as a careers adviser with young people and adults in Nottinghamshire and Surrey. In the 1990s she was part of the SMT at VT Careers Management, responsible for business development, marketing and the careers software and publishing company Lifeskills. In the early 2000s she established her own business and later led marketing and all aspects of business development at the Institute of Careers Guidance. In 2013 she was appointed the first CEO of the Career Development Institute, the UK-wide professional body for the career development sector. Committed to private/public partnerships and lifelong career guidance, Jan joined the group in June 2021.

Kirsty Steer
Director of Education, Qdos Education
Kirsty has been a further education professional for 25 years, with both within
colleges and as an FE specialist consultant. As a former Deputy Principal, she
has extensive successful experience of Further and Higher Education Leadership, curriculum development, including personal development and career planning, quality improvement and supporting the student experience.
Kirsty has applied her industry expertise to development of career-led education, maximising the potential of students to achieve their best in work and life. This includes development of digital career support (with the National Careers Service) and working with national networks of schools and colleges on the direction of young people to skills-led education. Kirsty joined Manor in March 2019 to lead the development of the service portfolio for Qdos Career Hubs.

Emilia Tothova
Director of IT
Emilia has over 15 years of experience in IT. Graduating university with an honours degree, she started her career as a website developer, ultimately achieving the positions of Project and Production Manager, with national companies.
She has great passion for technology and Mobile Application development. Joining Manor Property Group some 6 years ago and taking responsibility for all IT related tasks. This includes the development of our websites and mobile applications (apps). She continues to develop the range to include booking, shopping and career guidance solutions.

Timothy Sims BSC (Hons)
Director of Land Portfolio
With over 30 years experience in property, Tim has worked for the District Valuers Office, Westminster City Council, Jones Lang Wootton, along with niche advisory practices. During this period, he specialised in acquiring selling and funding investment and development properties. Clients have included major institutions, property companies and family offices.
Major schemes included 1-2 St James’s Square for BP’s HQ, Bond Street, Bird Street, Euston Road and Great Queen Street all in the West End of London as well as mixed commercial and residential schemes around the UK. He has also been personally involved with a major industrial development, office and retail lease re-gears and residential development schemes around the UK.
Other related activities include acting as an external examiner for the RICS.
